Send a note

Use this form for a chess place, a regular chess night or a recurring tournament in Tokyo or the neighbouring cities that the directory does not have yet, or for a card that is wrong or out of date. Players, parents, teachers, organisers and venue staff are all welcome to write, in English or in Japanese.

The most useful thing to include is a link: a club blog, a Meetup event, a federation notice, a dated post. Notes are read together at the next revision and compared with that page, and every resulting change is dated in the changes.

What happens next

• Your note waits with the others until the next revision of the Tokyo directory.
• It is then checked against the club's or organiser's own pages; where they confirm it, the card is changed and the date goes into the list of changes.
• Where no page supports it, the card stays as it is and keeps any unconfirmed wording it had.
• A reply is sent only if you ask for one and leave a contact.
